Bill and Sandra had a beautiful evening for their Belle Isle Engagement Photos in Richmond!
These two met while giving online dating a try, and luckily for them, it brought them together! Bill had planned the perfect proposal while they were on a trip to Sedona. They had signed up for a guided hike, and he popped the question once they were at the top of the mountain. It was picture perfect as the sun was setting!
I had a great time meeting Sandra and Bill at Belle Isle for their engagement session. Belle Isle is a small island located along the James River in the middle of downtown Richmond. The picturesque location of Belle Isle makes it an excellent place for couples to have their engagement pictures taken, providing a natural setting and a view of Richmond’s skyline. I captured images of them at Tredegar Ironworks before we headed across the pedestrian bridge and traveled along the water and rocky shoreline on a strolling path.
Belle Isle has a great amount of industry history. As early as the 1800's iron manufacturers have occupied the area with remnants of a foundry still visible.
It's always great meeting up with my wedding couples for their engagement photos. It allows us to get to know each other better, but it also gives them a chance to get in front of my camera before their wedding day! I often have couples tell me how uncomfortable or backward they are to be photographed. But once we meet and they get comfortable, their pictures always turn out incredible, just like Bill and Sandra's did. With their warm smiles and love for each other, these two were naturals in front of the camera.
